Kim Hardstaff
B.A., LL.B.

Kim Hardstaff is an associate at Beresh Cunningham. After successfully completing her undergraduate degree in 2004 and a Bachelor of Laws in 2007 (both with Distinction) at the University of Alberta she articled with our firm and was admitted to the Alberta Bar in July 2008.

During her law school career she focused on criminal law, evidence and advocacy classes. She actively volunteered with Student Legal Services and provided legal assistance to individuals in need. At her first trial she successfully defended a young woman charged with assault.

Originally from small town Alberta, Kim has dedicated her career to the practice of criminal law. She has represented individuals throughout the Province of Alberta on a variety of traffic, criminal and drug offences. In the fall of 2008 she had the opportunity to sit as second counsel on a murder trial with her principal, Mr. Beresh. This proved to be an invaluable learning experience and also reinforced the value of hard work and preparation in defending an individual’s rights and liberty.
