Chris Millsap B.A., LL.B.
Chris joined Beresh Cunningham in 2002 and has practiced exclusively in the area of criminal defence since being admitted to the bar.
Chris has won acquittals and represented his clients in the Court of Appeal, Court of Queen’s Bench and Provincial Court on a variety of charges including; homicide, sexual assault, impaired driving, theft, robbery, assault and drug charges. He has appeared in Courtrooms across Canada for his clients from British Columbia to Ontario. In addition to Criminal Code and Drug offences, Chris has successfully represented and defended individuals before the Driver Control Board/Transportation Safety Board, the Alberta Gaming Commission and Alberta Mental Health Board.
In 2008 Chris became the director of Grande Prairie operations for Beresh Cunningham and relocated his practice to the Grande Prairie office to better serve the firm’s clients in the Grande Prairie and Peace River regions. Chris is always available to discuss any of your legal problems in Edmonton, Grande Prairie or the surrounding areas, in person or over the phone with a guarantee of confidentiality and the utmost professionalism.
It has always been maintained by Chris that success in Court is a product of hard work and preparation and his efforts in Court on behalf of his clients was recognized by the Criminal Trial Lawyers Association of Alberta when was named the recipient of the prestigious Bruce Gunn memorial award for “excellence and passion in the defence of the accused.”
